Sophia's Blessing - with pics

We finally blessed our 7 month old baby on Sunday May 1st!

Thanks to all our family and friends that came out for the event!!

The obligatory family photo:

Fortunately, Sophia stayed asleep during her blessing ...

and only woke up during Sacrament meeting.

Sophia was dressed in a dress that both my mother and I wore at our own baby blessings,

as well as a dress and slippers that my Great-Grandmother Smith crocheted for my baby blessing,

was wrapped in a blanket crocheted by my Grandma Duersch,

and wore a headband made by my sister Jessica.

I hope that Sophia will be able to pass on all these items to her own daughter someday.

Sophia's cousin Perrin (who was born on Sophia's 6-month birthday)

was also blessed on the same day.
